Busy Traveling

Not only have we been busy at home, but we have been doing a little traveling lately too. On June 25th, Joe and I celebrated our 5 year anniversary! This was us on a beautiful, perfect Saturday 5 years ago!

5 yeas ago, I married the perfect man for me and I can't believe where our lives have gone since that day. A lot has happened and we took a little mini trip to celebrate our wonderful 5 years together! Joe didn't have any time he could take off from work so we had to stick close and just go some where for the weekend. We decided to go to Chattanooga because it was close and has so much fun stuff to do! We enjoyed good eating, the TN Aquarium, good sleeping, a 3D movie, and good talking. I love my boys, but sometimes it is just good to get away from all the craziness and just be able to catch up with each other. We had a great time and it was a much needed break away. I love my husband and am so thankful for him! I look forward to many, many more years and memories together!!

(So for the last few months I have been craving a cake from McEntyre's Bakery. (they did our wedding cake and their cakes are DELICIOUS!!) I have been saying I didn't want anything else for my birthday in August, but a cake from McEntyre's. So....my so thoughtful husband came home the Friday we left for our trip with a cake from McEntyre's!!! I was so surprised and excited! It is the little things that mean the most! We took the cake with us on our trip and enjoyed every bite of it....hence the reason my doctor got on to me for gaining to much weight at my last appt. )

3D movie about space...Joe's choice ;)
A carriage ride around downtown Chattanooga!

Spending some quiet time talking and kissing by the TN River!
So the next weekend we headed out for our next trip, Savannah TN! All of my moms family lives in TN and as a little girl my family would make several trips a year and I would spend weeks there in the summer. Well....as you get older and life changes....I don't get to go to TN much anymore. This trip over the 4th of July will actually be our only trip there this whole year! (My family is being so great and coming here for Christmas this year since we will have a newborn!) We always have so much good country fun when we go to TN and the boys have a blast playing with all their cousins!

The boys headed out to pick cucumbers from the garden with papaw and daddy!

They would get so excited when they found one!

Checking out the beans!
During the summer in TN, there is a lot of swimming involved. On this trip we swam in the TN River, a creek and a pool! My Uncle built a beautiful house on the TN River and we spent part of the day enjoying his house and his water toys!

Luke's first ride on a jet ski!

Cade's first ride on a jet ski!
(I was so sad I couldn't get out and ride. I love being out on the water and jet ski's are so much fun!!)
The Family!
Then we moved on to the creek. One of my cousins just bought some property that has a beautiful creek on it. He invited us over for some fun swimming! The water was freezing and it took the boys a while to get use to it!

Since we were there for July 4th, we of course did tons of fireworks. I didn't however get any pictures of any of that because I was to busy trying to convince Cade not to be scared of the fireworks. He has been scared every year and I was just hoping he had grown out of it for this year....but he hadn't. So most everyone enjoyed some great fireworks while Cade and I sat in the house and played. Overall, it was a great trip and always great to see and spend time with family! Our traveling for the summer is done now, so back to preparing this house for a 3rd munchkin!!

Busy, Busy!!

Wow, this summer is flying by and we have been very busy hence the lack of posts. It will probably take me a few post to get caught up with everything we have been doing, but here we go!! :)

So about a month ago me and the boys loaded up and went to Warner Robins for a visit with Mimi and Grandaddy during the week while Joe worked. Our days there were full with wild boys and lots of swimming!! The boys had a blast playing with their cousins and we were all super exhausted by the time we got home.

Then on June 20th we celebrated father's day with my amazing husband and father to our boys! The boys are so lucky to have them as their father and he loves them more than life itself. I am so thankful for him and could not have chosen a better father for our boys! It was a laid back day which is the best kind of day for Joe! We went to church and then took my dad out to lunch. My dad is another amazing father and now an amazing papaw! Joe and I are very lucky to have great dads and we are thankful for both of them!!

Well we are halfway through June...I will catch you up on the rest of June in the next post!! ;)

It's a ..........

So last Thursday I went to the doctor and had my sonogram to determine the sex of the baby. I went into it totally knowing I was having another boy. The sonogram lady asked me what I thought I was having and I told her a boy. She then asked Joe what he thought and he said boy (even though I have been asking him for the last week what he thought it was and he wouldn't give me an answer!!) So then Joe told the sonogram lady that she was the one who did this all the time what did she think I was having. She took a good look at me and said she thought it was a boy as well.......... So were we all right????

NO!!!

It's a GIRL!!!!!!!!!!

I REALLY thought I was having another boy so I didn't believe her. I kept saying, I don't see what you are seeing. Are you sure it is a girl??!! She preceded to tell me 3 more times, YES, it is a girl!! I was just in shock. I couldn't believe God was really going to bless me with two wonderful boys and now a beautiful girl!! I was over the moon excited!!! The baby was such a ham during the sonogram. She was moving all over the place and everything looked perfect!!! I am finally getting over the shock of it all, but I still just can't imagine buying girl stuff! It is going to be so much fun having a girl around here!! I can't wait to see the boys with her and I especially can't wait to see her and her daddy!! He is such an amazing father to our boys and I just get so excited thinking how great of a daddy he is going to be to our little girl too!! She will have him wrapped around her finger and I can't wait!!! :)

She was trying to suck her thumb in this picture!! :)

After we called all of the family, we decided we should all go out to dinner and celebrate our perfect little girl!! The whole family (grandparents, great grandparents, and aunts) went to dinner that night and celebrated. We had "girl colored" cupcakes in honor of our newest addition! :)

Momma, lil' sis and the 2 best Big Brothers!!
Pink, pink, pink....and more pink!

Daddy is even excited about his pink cupcake and his sweet little girl!

So, we have now officially talked to the boys about the baby. Luke said he wanted a baby sister and Cade just says he wants a baby to hold. They will both get their wishes!! :) They had some questions, but for the most part could care less. They have no idea how much their lives are going to change in the near future. That's okay, we will enjoy our time together with just the boys and we will adjust to the changes as they come.

Now for the next step...a name! Note to Family: I promise we will have a name for this little girl by the time she is born! :)

Refreshing

We just got home from a mini vacation and it was wonderful! Joe and I have always felt strongly about taking some sort of family vacation every year and most of the time that vacation involves the beach! We normally take a week long vacation, but Joe did not have any time to take off of work since he had all the health issues at the beginning of the year and he wants to be able to take off at least a couple of days when the baby is born......so we had to get creative and come up with a mini vacation. We planned it for Memorial Day weekend so Joe would already have Monday off and that gave us one more day of fun. So we left late Friday morning and headed to Hilton Head Beach. As soon as we got there, we dropped our stuff off in the condo and headed for the beach!! It was wonderful!! I literally just sat in my chair so relaxed and refreshed just listening to the ocean and watching my boys have the time of their lives. Although this vacation was very short, it was one of the best we have ever been on. We knew we only had a few days to enjoy so we really did!! The whole vacation I kept smiling and looking at Joe saying "this is wonderful!" It made me so happy to see the boys having so much fun and to just all be together!! I kept thinking this was our last vacation with our family of 4 so I really wanted to soak it all up and I did!!! We had good food, went out for ice cream, the boys played putt-putt for the first time and of course spent hours at the beach!! I of course took lots of pics, but I will spare you and only post some of them! :)

Heading out to "jump" the waves!

Stud Muffins!!

This is literally all they wanted to do...roll around in the 2 inches of water!! They were in heaven!

Lookin' just like his daddy!

A little sun bathing! (doesn't that just look like the life!)

First game of putt-putt! They were a little excited...
We had so much fun laughing at the boys while putt-putting. The funniest part was the 18th hole. We didn't warn them that once they hit the ball in the hole, it would be gone....After Luke hit his in the hole, he went to get it and it wasn't there. Before Joe and I could even stop him, he climbed up a little fence and very accusingly asked the grown adult male next to the fence "Did you take my ball??!!" The man looked at him very insulted and said "No." Joe and I were laughing so hard!!! We thought he was going to jump over that fence and attack that mean man for taking his ball!!! :)

Silly boys!

The only beach family pic we got the whole time...isn't it great! I love looking at the side of Luke's head!

Dancing and singing while playing in the ocean. This was one happy boy!

Serious concentration

Chillin' with my boys and loving every minute of it!

So Cool!

I love these handsome boys!

So sweet!

Funny story: I told Joe I wanted to get a belly picture and before I know it the boys have their shirts lifted up screaming they wanted a belly picture too!!! So here is our belly picture!! :)
So until we see the beach again next year with a small infant, I will cherish these memories! I love my family and I loved our time together on vacation!!
