First Day of School

So today was a big day for us....well mostly me!  We decided back in the spring that it would be a good thing to enroll the boys in a Mother's Morning Out program.  It sounded like a great idea at the time....they could meet new friends, socialize with other kids their age, I could have some time to run errands or clean the house, or just get a small break from 2 crazy boys.

Fast forward about 6 months and I cried myself to sleep last night and cried this morning after I dropped them off at school!!!  I didn't think it would be that hard, but it was! They are just growing up to fast!!  I was worried how they would do and of course they did fine.  They were a little hesitant at first, but as soon as I suggested they show their teachers their new Spiderman lunchbox, they were off!  Cade went to one side of the room and started playing and Luke went to the other side of the room to play.  It will be interesting to see if they stick together at all or just do their own thing.

Here are some pics from this morning.  You can tell they were a little excited about going to school!! :)

When I picked them up, the teacher said they did great! She said they followed directions and acted like they had been there forever!! I was so relieved to hear that!  They were very excited about their day and told me all about it.  I think their favorite part was "painting their hand."

I missed them so much while they were gone this morning, but I know this will be a great opportunity for them to have fun and learn without me right there. The first few weeks are going to be a hard adjustment for me (I am not use to a quiet house or a quiet car), but I'm sure once I get use to it I will love the free time to get things done!

I decided not to call you and let you have your alone time (crying and all). But Yeah!...the boys look excited and I am sure they had fun.
